This Timken RCJ series cast iron flanged cartridge bearing unit is composed of a cast iron flanged housing equipped with four bolt holes for use in industrial field applications. Within the housing is a double rubber sealed single row ball bearing that has a wide, extended inner ring for increased support to the shaft and can accommodate additional lubrication. The bearing locks to the shaft with an eccentric (asymmetric) self-locking collar that is secured with a setscrew. The housing has a stainless steel grease fitting for lubricating the bearing unit. As a general purpose unit for high contaminant applications, the bearing comes assembled and prelubricated.
