All of Jake's knife designs have Australian slang words as names but as soon as 'Fugly' made it on to the potential knife names list Jake had to draw a knife that suited. So Fugly is a uniquely designed pocket knife that combines exceptional comfort with practical EDC functionality
- Design Inspiration: The designer Jake Diaz used many design elements that usually don't look good (like narrower across the pivot than the blade and handle) or work well together (the flat finger choil and pointed beak) and massaged them so many times until the design was cohesive whilst still being distinctly unusual
- Distinctive Design: Jake Diaz's bold vision challenges traditional knife aesthetics while delivering exceptional functionality. The gold thumb studs that don't align with the random bit of jimping and the blade stripes that don't compliment any other part of the design. These all just add to the fugliness of the knife but work so well together for a very comfortable edc knife with an extremely useful blade shape
