You will receive a starter plant of Blue Wonder catmint (Nepeta racemosa) in a 2.5-inch pot. Blue Wonder is more compact than Walker's Low catmint, only reaching heights and spreads of about 12-18 inches. This hardy herbaceous perennial thrives in dry, shallow, or rocky soils and is very tolerant of drought once established. Mostly ignored by deer and rabbits, it thrives in full sun to part shade, appreciating some afternoon shade where summer temperatures are hot. Its fragrant blue-green foliage is festooned with spikes of lavender flowers throughout summer. Cut back flowers after blooming to promote reblooming. Zones 4-8.
