2696 Carburetor Spacer Four-Hole Square-Bore to Spread-Bore For Quadrajet & Thermo-Quad Manifold Base 0.85in Venturi This carburetor spacer allows the use of a square-bore carburetor on a stock Q-jet or Thermo-Quad intake manifold with a spread-bore flange.It is designed for use with manifolds intended for Quadrajet or Thermo-Quad carburetors and includes components needed to adapt an EPS carburetor to the OEM manifold.The adapter is constructed from aluminum and features a natural finish with a thickness of 0.850 inches.It has individual venturi ports and a square-bore base flange that matches to a spread-bore intake manifold flange. To utilize the threaded vacuum port on the adapter, an 1/8 inch hole must be drilled in each of the rear venturis to allow vacuum flow.The spacer increases the carburetor height by over 3/4 inch, which may require additional clearance considerations for air cleaners.The kit includes gaskets and hardware for installation.This part is suitable for use on non-feedback GM vehicles powered by a V8 engine from 1980 and earlier when paired with carburetor model 1400.
